About me
Michael Capps is a Curriculum and Instruction Director with Discovery Education. He leads the development of instructional activities and lessons, including our library of instructional strategies. for the Curriculum, Instruction, and Student Engagement team. He first joined DE as a part of Discovery Education's Community team in 2017, creating instructional content and supporting advocacy initiatives, such as DENSI. Prior to joining DE full-time he was a professional learning facilitator for five years, supporting educators through training and coaching sessions that blended best practices with DE's digital media content. His career in education started as a public school teacher in North Carolina.
