About me
Kelly began her career as a bench chemist, specializing in gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GCMS) and radiochemistry. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh, with a minor in Chemistry. Her academic journey also includes studies in forensic anthropology and field archaeology at Santa Rosa Junior College in California.
In the summer of 2020, Kelly transitioned to the field of education, working for Discovery Education on the Assessment Team. This role was a perfect fit for her, as her diverse background and exposure to various academic settings gave her a deep appreciation for fair assessments. As she settled into the job, her passion for providing high-quality assessments grew, emphasizing the importance of creating assessments that are free of ambiguity and complexity, ensuring fairness for all learners.
